BECK Drilling has over 30 years of experience in the mining services industry utilizing traditional and reverse circulation rotary drilling techniques. These unique systems utilize a flush jointed dual wall drill pipe. The reverse circulation methodology introduces highly pressurized air (5000 ft/sec), which flows down the outer pipe and bore annulas, allowing soil and rock returns to be instantly lifted to the surface via the inner pipe annuals. This method prevents cross contamination of soil and rock samples with the bore wall; Samples are logged at exact depths and bore wall erosion is eliminated. The direct benefits to the mineral exploration industry include:
- Continuous, virtually uncontaminated representative sample of geological formations, even when drilling through caving or eroding formations
- Zero loss of circulation and therefore no loss of geological sample
- Air, water or a combination of both can be used as drilling fluid; therefore no contamination occurs
- No drilling mud means no waste management or impact to environment
- ODEX Eccentric Casing Advancing System allows for drilling through overburden formations
- Drill bit sub fits over body of drill bit, therefore
o Borehole can be cut with minimum clearance
o No loss of drilling fluid (between dual wall drill pipe and wall of bore hole)
- Immediate results, sample returned from drill bit to surface in under one second
